Course Dates: Once monthly in Spring 2026
Format: Hy-Flex delivery: participants may attend in person in ITLE 126, join live via Zoom, or engage asynchronously through session recordings and materials in Canvas. Registration grants access to the dedicated Canvas course for RSVPs, resources, Zoom links, and recordings.
Audience: GTAs or graduate students at any experience level seeking practical, research-informed strategies to enhance teaching effectiveness, promote inclusivity, and strengthen classroom engagement. The series supports GTAs across all disciplines and teaching contexts.
The GTA Teaching Excellence Series is a four-part professional development program designed to support Graduate Teaching Assistants in building confidence and strengthening their teaching practice. Each workshop offers practical, research-informed strategies GTAs can apply immediately in their classrooms. Participants may attend in person, join via Zoom, or participate asynchronously by viewing the recording.
Completing all four workshops earns a digital badge in Teaching Excellence.

How Registration Works
Register once for the full Spring 2026 series.
You will be added to the GTA Teaching Excellence Series Canvas course, where you will access: zoom links, event materials, recordings, and monthly RSVP options (choose in-person, Zoom, or asynchronous).
Complete all four sessions (any modality) to receive your digital badge.
All workshops in the GTA Teaching Excellence Series take place from 1:00–2:00 PM and are offered in a Hy-Flex format (in person, live on Zoom, or asynchronous via Canvas).
