During this professional development opportunity held in the beauty of our Gardens, focus on connections in nature and how to implement PA Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy & Sustainability (STEELS) standards in your classroom, all while earning two Act 48 hours.Discover inspiration in the wonders of natural phenomena by investigating plant adaptations in the classroom and the garden, and by taking on a design challenge rooted in nature‑based solutions. With Longwood Gardens as your learning lab, participate in hands-on activities that can be taken back to your classroom to actively engage your students in three-dimensional learning with a focus on Environmental Literacy & Sustainability and Life Sciences standards. Recommended for educators in grades 1-5. Light refreshments provided. All materials included.
Fee: $25
Fee for Innovators, Gardens Preferred, and Gardens Premium Members: $22
Fee includes all-day admission to the Gardens on the day of the class.
