On Saturday, April 18th, NEU Church Planting is hosting a mini-conference entitled Teach What is Good: On Ministries For Women In The Local Church. Local churches need to be places where women ministered to and also equipped to minister to others. Sharon Dickens and Natasha Davidson, both from 20schemes, bring experience from leading women's ministries in Scotland's urban poor neighborhoods.
Here in New England urban neighborhoods, the same need exists. Come to catch their vision for how to serve the women in your local church.

Sessions
Session 1: Why Women's Ministry Is Important In The Local Church
Most churches in the UK—and the USA—do not have, nor have even considered women’s ministry. If you ask the question of who the women go to for help, support, and advice, the answer is usually ‘If you need to talk then you can always go to an elder’s wife.’ With complex and growing pastoral issues, this strategy needs to be re-thought. This session challenges you to think through why women's ministry is needed.
Session 2: Titus 2 Discipleship
What does that really look like? In Titus 2:3-5, you can see two things clearly. Firstly, you clearly see how, as godly, mature women you are called to behave and live (v3). Secondly, Titus clearly states that you are to teach younger women to do likewise. You are to teach them how to be godly women. This session is going to look at what this means.
