During this discussion, Dr. Carrington-Farmer talks with McNiff about how her latest collection makes the writings of one of the most documented figures from 17th-century New England more accessible to readers. They will discuss the founding of Providence, Williams's beliefs about religious freedom and the separation of church and state, and his relationships with Indigenous peoples. Dr. Carrington-Farmer holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge and specializes in early American history.
