About this Event
At June 7(Sun) , we will host 4 sessions of tea tastings at 7s Labo. Welcome to join!
Responding to the current season, the tea to taste this time is pre-Qingming Meijiawu Long Jing (明前梅家坞龙井) freshly first picked and harvested in 2026.
Long Jing belong to the green teas category. Pre-Qingming Long Jing have tender buds and delicate aromas. They have higher concentration of amino acids and lower levels of catechins, making taste sweeter and more complex.
There will be four sessions of tea tastings. The content and process of each tea session is the same. You can select one to join according to your schedule!
We will infuse the unique aesthetics inherited from the Chinese scholars' tradition into all aspects — from the spatial and tea stage arrangement to the selection and preparation of teas , as well as the tea tasting procedure. We will present to New York's tea lovers a delicate experience of taste and aesthetics to allow the guests to feel the essence of the spring.
Let’s taste Long Jing, watch their buds sink and stretch, let the tea soup linger in the mouth, swallow it slowly, and experience its sweetness and fragrance!

Why Meijiawu Longjing Reigns Supreme:
The Ultimate Terroir: Hailing from the core "Mei" region of West Lake, Hangzhou, our tea benefits from a unique mountain microclimate that creates an exceptionally smooth, sweet flavor profile.
A Presidential Legacy: Revered as the "National Tea," Meijiawu was historically chosen by Premier Zhou Enlai for hosting foreign heads of state.
Artisanal Craftsmanship: Hand-roasted through a grueling, multi-step process requiring ten traditional hand techniques. It takes tens of thousands of delicate spring buds just to craft a single pound.
The Signature Taste: Distinguished by its natural "brown-rice" tint and a rich, lingering aroma of toasted chestnuts.
