About this Event
During this very special evening workshop you will learn to handbuild your own teacup with the ladies of Silica all while sipping on and learning about the matcha lattes made on site by sister duo of Matcha Thomas. The teacups (handled or handle-less) will be later woodfired in an outdoor Millbrook NY based kiln. This process of organic firing causes the most beautiful earthy and rich results that'll be sure to excite when back in your hands!
Matcha Thomas will whisk you into the world of green tea as they offer a demonstration of the matcha preparation process as well insight on the ingredient’s origins and connection to serenity and communal healing. While participants craft their tea cups, they can indulge in a mindfully curated menu of both classic and inspired plant-based matcha lattes, decaf tea options, plus a special Silica Studio inspired drink!
