Tea Ceremony.This mindful tea ceremony has its roots in a Zen tradition. In essence it is a meditative space to sit with the medicine of tea, a calm, simplem and profound plant teacher. Tea is a bridge between our inner selves and nature.
Tea brings us away from the haste of the world and into a quiet space apart, where we can hear and listen to our inner self.
The tea used in the ceremony is a ethically-sourced, high-grade tea, carefully brewed for the purpose of the ceremony. Being from the tea plant, camellia sinensis, the tea does contain caffeine, but it has a light effect.
For this ceremony we will be using the method of boiled tea. Which is an ancient method of preparing tea that has been revived in recent years for tea ceremony.
The ceremony lasts for about and hour & a half, and there will be a related story included in the session. There will be sharing after the ceremony and time for a realxed chat, as well as some vegan snacks.
Also there are lovely walks around here, through forest and down to the shore of the Tay River Estuary, so you might want to plan for a walk after the ceremony.
The tea ceremony will be held in a bell tent in the garden.
