🎉 Whānau Games at Te Aitarakihi – Celebrate 50 Years of Te Reo Māori! 🎉
Join us for a day full of laughter, fun, games and kai as we celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori’s 50th Anniversary! Gather your crew and register your team (minimum of 4 players – limited spots available!) for our Whānau Games – fun for all ages and abilities.

🕙 Games kick-off: 10:15am (arrive by 10am)
🍽 Lunch: Hāngi – gold coin donation
🎶 Entertainment: Te Aitarakihi Kapa Haka Rōpū & Kaumātua Kapa Rōpū
✨ At 12pm, we’ll all take part in the Māori Moment – standing together to acknowledge the moment the petition was presented to parliament in 1972, to revitalise Te Reo Māori and become an official language in Aotearoa. Keep an eye out on our facebook page for details !
You don’t have to play to join in – come along, cheer on the teams, enjoy the kapa haka, share some kai, and soak up the awesome whānau atmosphere.
