Join us for a community planting day at Te Mata Reserve. We’ll be planting thousands of natives - including kahikatea, puriri, cabbage trees, flaxes and more - as part of a wider restoration effort to improve stream health and replace vegetation removed during earlier erosion protection works. These new plantings will help the reserve flourish for generations to come. After the mahi (work), stick around for a bite to eat and a chance to connect with others who care about our reserve.
Bring:
✔️ Water bottle
✔️ Warm layer
✔️ Decent shoes
✔️ Spade and gloves
Bring your whānau, friends, and enthusiasm - and be part of this special community effort!
