Te Kura Reo o Raukawa is a transformative week-long cultural program centred around marae experiences. Its primary objective is to enhance the knowledge, confidence, and proficiency of Raukawa Te Reo Māori speakers and learners.
The program's foundation lies in imparting essential aspects of Raukawa's history, language, whakapapa, whaikōrero, karanga, mōteatea, karakia, and tikanga. Additionally, it aims to foster a reconnection between our people and significant sites, marae, and traditional practices.
Participants engage in a supportive learning environment tailored to address specific needs and confidence levels. The curriculum spans from basic language skills to advanced fluency, all facilitated by esteemed local te reo Māori and tikanga tutors.
