After an epic time and heaps of great feedback in 2023 & 2024, Te Aro Eats is back for its third year at CubaDupa!
This interactive, community-powered dining experience invites you to connect with fellow diners, get stuck into the meal mahi, and enjoy some seriously delicious kai—all while showcasing what’s possible when we come together.
Te Aro Eats is made possible by the amazing volunteers and staff from Seeds to Feeds, Everybody Eats, The Free Store, Wellington Timebank, Crop-Swap Te Whanganui a Tara, and Kaibosh Food Rescue, BGI, EKTA, Compassion Kitchen and with awesome support from other likemind community focused organisations.
Pre-book a space for one of our 3 Saturday seating. Only half of the spaces at each sitting are available for pre-booking, the rest will be available for walk-ups.
Saturday Dining: 1 pm | 3 pm | 5 pm
Sunday Fry-up/Brunch: 11am-2 pm ( just turn up )
This meal is designed to showcase how our community-focused organisations operate and welcome volunteers. This will be inclusive (easily catering to vegetarians, vegans, gluten intolerances, and allergies), and created to share the story of our kai and our people.
Admission is by koha, either monetary or with time or resources towards the mahi.
While dining you will be encouraged to meet the guests dining with you, to connect and share stories. We will have activities that create moments of fun, excitement and conversation.
