Join us in making, decorating and crafting for the 2025 Tour Down Under. Calling all upcyclers, recyclers, craft lovers and community linkers. Join us for a working bee 2pm -4pm on Saturday 11 January at the Summertown Church Hall and again on Sunday 18 January 10am - 12noon LOCATION TBC.
Bring your sewing machine, fabric, old clothes, ribbons, string or anything youβve got handy to help craft some bunting. Bike wheels also welcome so we can decorate them.
The working bees are child friendly and we will finish with a shared afternoon tea.
We want to make heaps of bunting so we can dress our town from head to toe to welcome riders and spectators from around the world on Thursday23 January.
If youβre unable to make the working bee but have some craft materials to donate we welcome them.
Please drop your donations in the teal tub located at 1086 Greenhill Road Summertown. The scraps will be used to make bunting as part of the 23 January Tour Down Under bike race.
Fabric can be any colour or shape, even clothes are welcome which we can string together.
We also welcome complete bunting which we can install on you behalf.
Thank you to everyone getting involved we can't wait to see the bunting fluttering in the breeze.
