About this Event
The TCS London Marathon is the marathon all runners – new and seasoned – want to run, and for good reason. The world-famous route has remained largely unchanged since the inaugural race in 1981 and as you take on the 26.2 miles around the Capital, not only will the streets be lined with thousands of spectators cheering you on, but you’ll also run by some of London’s most mesmerising landmarks, old and new.
In 2023, the TCS London Marathon returns in APRIL and we’d love for you to run for Rainbows!
How to Run for Rainbows:
For the TCS London Marathon 2023, we have a limited number of Golden Bond places available, which guarantee you a spot on the start line.
To apply for one of our Golden Bond places, please select the "Apply for a Rainbows Golden Bond" ticket option and complete the booking process, by Friday 14 October. After this date you can still submit your interest to be added to our reserve list and if a space does become available then we can let you know about how you can join Team Rainbows.
All successful entrants for a Rainbows Golden Bond place will be required to pay a £100 non-refundable registration fee; and pledge to raise a minimum of £1,800 in sponsorship. We appreciate times are tough at the moment, and our Supporter Care Fundraiser, Neil will be on hand to support you every step of the way. He has lots of ways to share how you can reach this target!
If you've entered the official TCS London Marathon 2023 ballot and you've successfully got a place, we'd love you to run for us. There's no minimum fundraising target - but every penny raised really will make a difference.
Why Run for Rainbows:
By running for Rainbows at the TCS London Marathon 2023 you will be helping to support children, young people and families living with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions, here in the East Midlands. Every penny you raise, will help support our vital work here at the Hospice, in the local community and in hospitals.
To help make your TCS London Marathon 2023 experience as memorable as possible, we will provide you with:
- Fundraising support from a dedicated member of the Rainbows Team, Neil, who’ll help you reach your fundraising goals and provide you with marketing materials you may need to spread the word about your fantastic challenge
- Guidance through training with training plans, runs and social pages where you can get tips and advice from other runners
- Your own Rainbows running vest or technical t-shirt for you to wear with pride on the day
