All participants 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 have their attendance 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭'𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧, which includes notifying the school office 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁 15𝘁𝗵. Without this prior approval and coordination, grandparents will not be allowed to participate. 🚨🚨𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 and will have 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 to ensure student safety. Please ensure all arrangements are made in advance with the student’s parents and the school office. 🚨🔒
TCA is excited to welcome grandparents and grandparent figures for this special morning honoring the older generation in our students' lives. This is a treasured tradition and a meaningful experience for our 1st–through 6th–grade students.
Here are the details:
🎶 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞:
𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞:
• 9:00 AM: Grandparents gather in the gym for a special assembly featuring a musical performance by our 1st-6th graders.
• After the Assembly: Grandparents will visit their grandchild’s classroom(s) to engage in various activities until 11:30 AM.
📚 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭-𝐀-𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦: For $10, grandparents can “adopt” a book from our library collection and dedicate it to their grandchild. The grandchild will be the first to borrow the book before it returns to the school library for others to enjoy.
TCA will place a dedication in the book's inside cover and present it to your grandchild. After your grandchild's initial check-out period, the book will have a permanent home in our collection for other students to enjoy.

𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
• 🚗𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐲: Please use the carpool system that day as the parking lot will be reserved for grandparents.
• 🔒𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬: Grandparents must ensure the student's parents have coordinated their participation. Without parental approval, grandparents will not be allowed access. This event is not open to the public and will have restricted access.
• 🚫𝐍𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 in Attendance: This day is for grandparents (or substitute grandparents) only to create a special experience for the students.
• 🔔 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 – If a grandparent plans to check out a student after the event, the parent must coordinate with the office in advance. Please do not send grandparents without advance notice. Parents please check your email or contaact you teacher/main office for more info.
🤷 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴?
They’ll still get to enjoy time with other grandparents in their classroom and can engage in meaningful conversations and activities.
You’re also welcome to designate a substitute grandparent (older generation figure) with parent approval.
