August's Meeting: For the month of August, the TC Sci-Fi/ Fantasy Book Club is reading and discussing A Little Hatred by Joe Abercrombie at the Colfax location. 15 ticketed spots are available for 6 pm on Tuesday August 17th, 2021. An additional meeting will be created if necessary.

General Description: The TC Science Fiction and Fantasy Book Group covers every kind of adventure! We read hardcover and softcover books, hard and soft science fiction, high and low fantasy, classics, and fresh releases. Once a month, we connect and discuss the story, writing, characters, and what we loved and/or hated about the book! This group is an opportunity to connect with other people who are fans of leaving this time and place for something more futuristic, magical, post-apocalyptic, or mythical. Our reading list endeavors to read as many different stories as possible which means finding authors of all backgrounds and experiences.
Moderator Bio: Kend (they/them) is a new bookseller for Tattered Cover at Aspen Grove and is moderating the Science Fiction/ Fantasy book club. They first took a bite out of the two genres while dodging a family reunion to work through their aunt’s collection of 1970s Star Trek novels and followed that up with a lengthy attempt at learning Quenya in high school. With a background in library work and creative nonfiction writing, their current contribution to the worlds of science fiction and fantasy consist of five years co-hosting a genre podcast (unconnected with TC), and celebrating the current platinum age of queer and diverse science fiction/ fantasy authorship with anyone who will listen.
