A charity event supporting first responders facing hardship, with a focus on identifying and assisting those in need within the Twin Cities community.
This year, the funds raised will go to Lisa Zumwalde to help her in her fight. Lisa has been a Fire Dispatcher in the RCECC for the last 24years. She was recently diagnosed with Metastatic Uveal (Ocular) Melanoma for the second time. Unfortunately, this time tumors have spread to other areas of her body. With few treatment options, she is part of a clinical trial and hopeful to help advance research to others. This requires frequent travel to Mayo Clinic and many missed days from work. There is no cure at this time.
