Dana and Tbow will make it a night of classic blues, jazzy blues, and bluesy originals, reflecting Tbow’s 50 years of constant gigging with numerous San Antonio bands and Dana’s study of traditional blues with Chicago legend Erwin Helfer and her study of jazz with Skip Green. There will be songs made famous by Little Milton, Robert Johnson, Bonnie Raitt, Koko Taylor, Harlem Hannah, T-bone Walker, Bessie Smith, B.B. King, Cannonball Adderley, Joe Zawinal, Louie Armstrong, and other blues masters. The night will include Tbow and Dana arrangements of blues standards: Summertime, St. James Infirmary, Stormy Monday, Sweet Home Chicago, Kansas City and more.Since this is the CD Release Party for Dana’s brand new CD “I’d Rather Play in the Band,” some of those tunes will be presented.
