Event Summary
In this session, KPMG will discuss technology trends and developments impacting Tax Departments, including a discussion of digital tools that many Tax Departments are using to improve their processes. Our seminar will include a roundtable discussion moderated by KPMG with several representatives from the TEI Central Texas Chapter to share their tax/technology journeys, including setbacks and “lessons learned.”

Speakers
Chris Zibert & Chris Groves from KPMG’s Ignition – Data & Analytics team
Chris Zibert is a Partner in KPMG’s Tax Transformation practice based in San Diego. He has more than fifteen years of experience in providing tax process and technology improvement services to public and privately held. He is responsible for assisting a broad range of multinational clients with their tax technology and process improvement initiatives. He focuses on helping clients to evaluate, document, analyze, and improve their tax function processes, organizational design, technology, and delivery model. His current and past clients include leaders in the information technology, financial services, retail, manufacturing, and services industries. He supports and leads engagements by combining tax-specific experience with specialist project, technology, and process management expertise.
Chris Groves is a Managing Director with extensive experience assisting clients and counsel with services that include dispute resolution, valuation / evaluation, bankruptcy, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, regulatory and compliance analyses, and investigations. He has approximately 19 years of experience with almost 16 years in litigation support work.
Parking
Attendees can park at the One Eleven Garage located in a ten-story parking garage adjacent to the KPMG Austin office building. KPMG will validate parking tickets. The garage is located at 206 E Cesar Chavez St, the corner of Brazos and Cesar Chavez). KPMG will provide validations for this garage.
There is an underground tunnel between the One Eleven Garage and the KPMG office building accessible through the Plaza Level. The One Eleven Conference room is on the Plaza level, just off to the side of the Fareground restaurant area. You can’t miss it if you follow signs to the Plaza level from the garage elevators.
