MEET THE EXPERTS:

ALEX INGRIM - Originally from Alaska, and growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Alex has lived abroad, in various countries, for over 15 years. He has significant experience with the complications of living abroad as an American and has lived and worked in France, Canada, the UK, Italy, and Malta. As a result, Alex has a nuanced understanding of how the US financial system interacts with others, including the French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and British systems.
Alex started his career in London, and previously specialized in investment analysis for large, international wealth management organizations. He focuses on building long-term relationships with Americans living in Europe and excels at holistically guiding them through the intricacies of cross-border financial planning.

Alex is based in Florence, Italy, where he resides with his wife and two sons.

Nicolas Castillo, CPA - For over seven years, Nicolas has provided global tax services to ensure his clients’ filings are compliant with the IRS and optimized for cross-border situations. Originally from Miami, Nicolas and his wife, Sam, moved to Madrid in 2021.

As a senior expat tax provider running his own digital nomad business from Spain, he sees an ongoing need for proactive cross-border tax planning and advisory services for the international business owner community.

Although his professional background is defined by providing US tax services to business owners, his personal interests are wide-ranging and include history, art, tech, and creative endeavors more broadly. His client roster is filled with individuals he admires, including creators, architects, technology entrepreneurs, and real estate professionals.

BENJAMIN SMALL - Having moved to and from France with a young family on either side of Brexit. It was clear the financial landscape in Europe was shifting. Ben felt it was difficult to keep track of the different options to move money around, invest smartly, and make sure he wasn't missing a trick on the tax front.
Friends and family, split across France and the UK all had their own way of doing things, but no one really had a handle on what made sense for families sharing their time between countries, let alone continents. Ben had built up a great network by working in finance for half a decade and decided he would start asking the right questions and find solutions that might help other people with the same problem.
The response was overwhelming - a testament to the need for such support. It was clear that there was not only a demand for solutions but also a desire to collaborate on this mission.
