This is a 2-day event. It is a FAMILY friendly event.
We will be visiting Lake Taupo to include the Māori Rock Carvings, Kinloch, Otupoto Waterfalls and much more on Day-1 (21st).
Day-2 (22nd) Waikato River with all its unspoiled Attractions, Thermal pools, The Squeeze, W**d City and more.
So do both days or just one. The choice is yours.
ACCOMODATION : As always Motuoapa Bay Holiday Park is our go to every year but you need to be fast as the wind chasing oldies have chosen our time every year now to have their sailing challenge so they tend to book all the accom quick so if I were you I’d get booking NOW….. here’s the link

�Please note there is a $6 Boat Ramp Permit for the day and can be purchased in advance

�Pack a lunch or buy lunch at Kinloch it’s entirely up to you.

�MEET AT THE Z PETROL STATION AROUND 8:00am @ 200 Napier Road Taupo and CONVOY TO THE RIVER.
�WHEN WE GET TO THE RIVER PLEASE Park in 2 tidy single file rows EITHER SIDE of the road leading to the boat ramp and we all chip in and help unload & park everyone. Don’t be a hero and do it all yourself please. We’ve been doing this longer than you’ve been an adult most likely ��
Then we all park in neat line files along the Tree fence lines and continue 2-4 cars abroad if needed. And loading of skis is in order of first car parked or if possible first ski back. There’s usually enough room for you to get your vehicle out if you get back and want to run. But usually we all park up and help load everyone back up again.
�ALL SKIS TO UNLOAD AND PARK UP ON THE RIVER BANK FOR THE BRIEFING. (BOTH DAYS)
ALL Vehicles please park in single Rows(DAY 2)
�Pack a lunch for Day 2. We usually just grab a SUBWAY on the way at the Z Fuel station.
���It is expected that all riders will abide by all the rules outlined in the Taupo area and district NAVIGATION SAFETY BYLAWS. A copy of this can be downloaded from the council's website. You are responsible for your actions on the water.
+ Life Jackets are Mandatory NO exceptions
+ Abide by Maritime NZ and Marine rules, any local bylaws, along with all the rules, regulations, and laws laid down by and official and common sense please
+ All Jetskis are to be registered to a council (or face a fine at your cost) https://waikatoregion.govt.nz/services/maritime-services/jetskis/
+ Please note there is a $6 Boat Ramp Permit for the 19th Lake Taupo and can be purchased in advance https://ramp-permit-taupo.dia.govt.nz/ (Preferred boat ramp 'Motuoapa' 24-hr is all that’s needed)
+ Liquor is not to be consumed by any person/s or vessel operators during the hours of the on-water duration of the event.
+ Remember - Keep to 5 knots [a fast walking pace / 9.25km per hour] within 50m of another vessel and structures & 50 of a person in the water.
+ Stay right when possible at all times. All oncoming vessels must pass to your left.
+ Remember this is not a race, but a social event.
You agree with all the terms and you agree and acknowledge you will enter into this high risk event (Taupo Takeover) at your own risk. WE WILL NOT be held accountable for any of the above or any damage, injuries, lost property that may occur. All insurance is up-to the individual.
Please note this is an OPEN and SOCIAL get together and ride.

�We will NOT offer jump starts to anyone with a flat battery. This is for YOUR Safety and the well-being of the Groups and their schedule. So please be respectful of your skis well-being and ensure it is ready for this trip.
�It will be best if we dedicate unloaders and loader of vessels like every year to streamline and save time which we will discuss on the day and implement.
