Taunton Castle Tour

Join us for an exclusive tour of this Grade 1 listed Ancient Monument standing at the heart of Somerset’s county town.

Explore parts of the castle not normally accessible to the public and go behind the scenes of Taunton’s historic gem.

Our friendly guide will lead you around the 12th century castle and offer insight into the building’s past.

Please note:

• Due to the steep and uneven nature of the steps, please wear sensible shoes
• The tour will depend on the weather, but will hopefully include a chance to go up the gatehouse tower
• Large parts of the tour will be outside so do bring a raincoat and umbrella if it is wet
• Please arrive promptly as it may not be possible to join the tour once it has started
• Suitable for age 12+
