Tatiana Bilbao is the founder of Mexico City-based practice Tatiana Bilbao Estudio. With projects ranging from affordable housing strategies to urban-scale masterplans, the firm pairs architecture with research to design for diverse circumstances, with a focus on post-crisis reconstruction. Prior to the establishment of the studio in 2004, Bilbao served as an Advisor in the Ministry of Development and Housing of the Government of the Federal District of Mexico City. She has taught extensively across the globe, including a recurring position at Yale University School of Architecture. Bilbao is the author of "A House Is Not Just a House: Projects on Housing" which details her extensive work in housing.
