Fresh herbs and greens add vibrant flavor to any meal. But did you know they can also bring out the nuances in the flavor of your wine?Erika from Leaf & Bloom Kitchen Gardens is back in the shop for our fifth installment of Tasting the Seasons, an evening of wine paired with your favorite herbs and greens that are sure to add a little spice to your fall and winter gatherings!
This event will feature a progressive tasting of specially picked wines, paired with herb-based appetizers that accent their flavors. Erika and John will help guide us through this unique, and VERY FUN event. Erika will also share how you can easily grow and use your own herbs year-round.
To put everyone in the mood for the season, Chef Bryan is putting together a fall-inspired selection of appetizers to pair with the wines including: kale, quinoa & apple salad (to highlight kale), chicken and red lentil soup with lemon yogurt (to highlight parsley, dill and mint), pasta with garlic greens & buttered pistachios (to highlight chard & spinach) and fig tart with caramelized onions, rosemary and cheese (to highlight rosemary).
Tasting the Seasons is always one of our most popular events of the year, so come learn about herbs and wine with us!
Tickets are $50/person and include four wine and appetizer pairings. Limited tickets available. (Please allow us three days advanced-notice to accommodate any dietary restrictions so we can coordinate with the chef!)
As always, our WineStations are open before the event in case you'd like to enjoy a glass of wine before we get started, and the shop is open for you to browse afterwards. And you'll enjoy a 10% discount on any bottles purchased from the herb pairing list!
