Barolo may indeed be the King of Wines and the Wine of Kings, but tonight, our two featured producers are woman (and actually, sense the time of the "Barolo Boys" a majority of Barolo is woman made!). But putting gender aside, what we have for you tonight is an outstanding line up from two magical Barolo producers - Annalisa Pira and Liliana Marrocco.
The Pira estate is in Serralunga d'Alba, a climate and soil that makes some of the strongest willed-longest lived Barolos. While the Pira estate "only" dates back to the 1990s, they have been farmers for multiple generations, and the Nebbiolo fruit they have farmed has gone into some of the longest lasting of all Barolos.
Liliana Marrocco comes to us from the Renato Corino estate in La Morra. La Morra produces some of the most perfumed, fruit-depth filled Nebbiolo in all of Barolo, and her Barolos are of no exception. An exciting contrast to Pira, this tasting will be a fascinating exploration of climate, soil, geography and wine making in Barolo. Truly, a night not to miss.
Ticket price refunded with a purchase at the event (no cash value).
