About this Event
The rise of Malbec as a “signature grape” of South America has all but obscured other rich wine-making traditions in Chile and Argentina, many of them very old, very traditional, and producing wines of varied texture and flavor going far beyond the range of a single grape. In this seminar, Curtis Eaton of Vintus wines will re-introduce some historic South American grapes like Carignan and Pais(Mission), among the earliest wine grapes cultivated in the western hemisphere, and re-visit the art of blending as an original means of producing complex and balanced wines in both Chile and Argentina.
