Marina’s Bistro & Rum Bar is bringing a Taste of Puerto Rico to Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood on Wednesday, July 17th! The restaurant and cocktail bar will be hosting a five-course tasting event you won’t want to miss out on. Chef and Owner Eric Roldan is excited to bring this one-of-a-kind, exclusive dining experience to the community.
Dinner, which begins at 6:30pm, will consist of a mix of both existing menu items and some items that are being introduced for the first time, during the event. Dinner includes:
Course 1: Sopa de Gazpacho, cool avocado and tomato gazpacho
paired with Cucumber Cava
Course 2: Croqueta de Jamón y Queso, breaded potato, ham and cheese croquette
paired with Marina’s Punch
Course 3: Tostones Rellenos de Mariscos, marinated shrimp and octopus salad served with tostones
paired with Calle Loíza
Lemoncello and lemon sorbet
Course 4: Chuleta Frita con Chicharrón y Majado, fried pork chop served with mashed Malanga roots
paired with Remole Toscana 2022
Course 5: Bistec Encebollado stewed with steak and onions
paired with Camp Viejo Rioja Tempranillo 2021
Dessert: Budin de Pan Con Raspado de Coco, warm bread pudding served with coconut ice cream
paired with Espresso Martini
Tickets for the Taste of Puerto Rico will be available for $100, and include drinks paired alongside the five-courses. Marina’s Bistro & Rum Bar’s intimate dining setup only allows for 25 tickets to be sold for this exclusive tasting, so be sure to grab your ticket before the event sells out.
