Mexican cuisine is known for it’s use of corn, beans and chillis as key ingredients. It has many regional specialisms across the country, along with influences from Spain, but is primarily known for vibrant flavours and bold spices.
Join us for our workshop where we will make authentic Mexican dishes that you’ll be able to recreate at home.
We’ll make:
Enchiladas – soft flour tortillas wrapped around a delicious filling (choose from chicken or sweet potato and black bean) and baked with a piquant sauce
Spicy Mexican rice with tomatoes and peppers
Classic guacamole made with lime juice and fresh coriander
Smoky salsa to add a kick to your feast
Refried beans with jalapenos
Our workshops are fun and informal, our tutor will support you to prepare the recipes. We’ll chat about the Mexican way of eating, and different types of peppers and chillis you can use to enhance the flavours of the dishes.
All recipes can be suitable for vegetarians. Please note wheat and dairy will be used in the workshop, but we can adapt if we are able. Please let us know of any dietary requirements while booking.
The course is suitable for beginners and people with some experience interested in trying out something new. Please remember to bring containers to take your food home.
