CCE Broome County is proud to introduce the Taste of Market Dinner Series, a culinary experience spotlighting the incredible chefs and food businesses that have flourished through the Broome County Regional Farmers Market and CCE Broome’s commercial kitchen.As our kitchen undergoes a much-needed renovation, we’re shifting from our annual Fresh Food Face Off to this special dinner series—a chance to experience the flavors of our community while supporting CCE Broome's impactful community programming in youth development, nutrition, agriculture and local food, environmental and horticultural education, and more.
Each dinner will feature a unique, chef-crafted menu.

Taste of Pakistan – April 22 | Featuring Zaiqa Halal Food Cart - Experience the rich flavors of Pakistan as Mr. Hussain of Zaiqa Halal Food Cart brings his signature gyros, aromatic biryanis, and sizzling platters to the table. After years of running a food truck in NYC, Mr. Hussain brought his passion for authentic halal street food to Binghamton, where he now serves up bold, flavorful dishes near Binghamton High School.
Taste of Korea – May 15 | Featuring Seoulful Food - Raised on a farm in South Korea, Soojung Lee of Seoulful Foods learned early on that the best meals start with fresh, local ingredients. Now, as a graduate of SUNY Broome’s Culinary Arts Program and a skilled sushi chef, she blends traditional Korean flavors with modern techniques.
Taste of Greece – June 17 | Featuring Despina’s Mediterranean Restaurant- For over 15 years, Despina Jevelekides has shared the flavors of her homeland through Despina’s Mediterranean Restaurant, a local favorite known for its authentic Greek cuisine. Join us for a flavor-packed evening of some of her favorite dishes, prepared with the same passion and tradition that have made her restaurant a staple in the community.
