On Saturday, April 5 from 10 – 11:30 am, the Körner’s Folly Foundation will present our monthly Taste of History program focusing on Victorian Tea Culture!This program will feature fascinating history and lively discussion between Brittany Hendley, Körner’s Folly Community Engagement Manager, and local entrepreneur Brooke Cashion, as they dive into the historical framework and contemporary practice of Southern hospitality.
This FREE program will also showcase several collection items owned and used by the Körner family, including a porcelain and gold Öpaig tea service that dates from the early 1910s.
At the conclusion of the participants’ dialogue, there will be a short Q&A session followed by light refreshments provided by Cashion’s new venture Busy as a Bee, including hot tea and lemonade.
The Taste of History program is held monthly on the first Saturday in the Community Room of the John & Bobbie Wolfe Visitor Center. Program Admission is free and includes light refreshments. No pre-registration is required.
