Franklin County Farm Bureau has been bringing people together for over 100 years and believes in opportunities for the next generation. Farm Bureau is proud to be hosting the 3rd annual Taste of Franklin County.
Taste of Franklin County will feature local farmers & a well known urban agricultural farm setting in the middle of Columbus and promote the flourishing agriculture in our county. We are excited for this initiative where all net proceeds will benefit our youth programs and scholarship fund.
The Waterman Farm tour will include a Pawpaw orchard, New Controlled Environment Greenhouse Complex, Master Gardener Volunteer garden project sites & the Bee yard.
**Tours are from 3-5:30pm
The farm tour and dinner is set to take place on Sunday, September 22, 2024. The host site for the tours and dinner is Waterman Farm located at The Ohio State University. 2490 Carmack Rd, Columbus, OH 43210
Tickets are $75 per Farm Bureau member or $95 per non-member.
Objectives:
1. Feature a well known urban agricultural farm setting.
2. Provide an opportunity for urban and suburban consumers, as well as Farm Bureau members to explore agriculture production projects in the heart of Franklin County and learn more about our organization.
3. Raise money to support the youth programming and scholarships.
4. Provide a day of education, good food, entertainment and fellowship.
Tickets include:
1. Waterman Farm Tour
2. Farm to Table multi-course Dinner ** Dinner is at 6pm
3. $5 voucher for the Mini Farmers Market
4. Event favor
Tickets should be purchased by September 13, 2024 at 5pm.
