We love introducing the people in our community to each other, which is why we're excited to introduce Bob Reed, a level three sommelier who owns Flights & Bites, a virtual wine boutique and members-only tasting room in Destin.
Bob has curated four unique wines to share at this classy casual event designed to introduce attendees to each other, Beachworx and Flights & Bites. In addition to learning the nuances of a wine's look, smell and taste, we'll pair heavy hors d'oeuvres from Calypso Cafe in Embassy Suites, Miaramar Beach, to complement the libations.
Join us as Bob takes us around the globe tasting selections from his Gold Monthly Club inventory. The event will begin with a 30 minute tutorial tasting of Willamette Valley Oregon's Chef's Table Pinot Noir.
Once you've learned the basiscs of tasting, mix & mingle with other attendees as you visit stations offering the other selections and food pairings.
- South Africa's Stellekaya Cygnus Rose - taste it with proscuitto wrapped grilled South Carolina peach and a wedge of Castello Danish brie drizzled with local honey
- Sonoma County California's Katherine Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon- taste it with seared flat iron steak ciabatta crostini topped with carmelized Peruvian onion, microgreens and fresh tarragon aioli
- Loire Valley France's Domaine Gitton Sancerre L'Amiral - taste it with jumbo lump crabmeat hoezel, kissed with fresh lemon, minced shallot and herbs served in an English cucumber cup with a drizzle of European pink brandy sauce
Attendees will receive a 5% post-event digital discount coupon for purchases at Flights & Bites and all Beachworx members in attendance will receive a 10% discount on any purchase.
