About this Event
During the experience we visit small, family-owned shops, the highlights in the local markets, hidden food gems, and learn about Hungarian food!
We will guide you to our favorite - not touristy - places in the VI., VII., and VIII. district in Budapest. We will go to a local market and a butcher to explore Hungarian street food (lángos and sausages), you can see how rétes (Hungarian strudel) is being made, and you can try the best-seller sweet treat, the chimney cake.
During the tour, we will visit the best Transylvanian gourmet restaurant in the city to try a local dish, and then we finish the experience in a coffee house, which used to be a favorable meeting place for writers on the grand Andrássy Avenue.
We will taste at least 7 different local food in small portions (include at least 3 hot). Promise, you will be not hungry at all after :)
We would also like to toast you with some pálinka, the Hungarian brandy.
