Join us in Tulsa, Oklahoma for a screening of, and panel discussion about, the Bill Muench documentary "The Artist & The Astronaut" highlighting the fascinating story of Skylab 4 Commander, Astronaut Jerry Carr and the artist and sculptor - Jerry's second wife - Pat Musick.A carrier-based Marine Corps aviator, Carr was among the 19 astronauts chosen by NASA in April 1966.
He served as part of the astronaut support crews and as CAPCOM for the Apollo 8 and Apollo 12 missions before being named as rookie Commander of Skylab. The 84-day Skylab 4 mission was flown from November 1973 - February 1974,.
Featured panelists include filmmaker Bill Muench, Todd Hobin - musician and composer of the film's original musical score, Jeff Carr, a former JSC PAO and son of Gerry Carr, and Mitchell Rothman, Founder of Manned Space Media.
Light refreshments will be available prior to the screening and dinner at the Museum follows the film and panel discussion.
