The desire to live safely and independently is a fundamental goal for older adults and rehabilitation. While exercise is a common component of rehabilitation, the critical question is not whether exercise is effective but rather which types of exercise yield the best outcomes. Dr. Liu will share her research on developing, testing, and implementing a task-oriented resistance exercise program designed for older adults at risk of ADL disability. Additionally, she will discuss her collaboration with Brooks Rehabilitation to translate scientific findings into practical applications.
