Kava Chats: Getting reacquainted with Kava - A discussion lead by Daniel Robson about therapeutic and other traditional uses of Piper methysticum.
If you wish to try some kava on the night please purchse the $5 add-on to cover costs.
Kava samples will be provided before and during the presentation for anyone who wishes to experience its effects. This is best on an empty stomach, so if you intend to try Kava, we suggest you avoid eating at least 2 hours before the presentation. Whilst it's not illegal to drive under the influence of Kava, it's a good idea to plan getting home without needing to drive, as recreational doses may impair driving ability.
Daniel Robson is a Naturopath who has been in clinical practice for 21 years. With Leah Hechtman, he co-authored the Male Reproductive System chapter in the second edition of Clinical Naturopathic Medicine, and over the years has presented to professional audiences on topics as diverse as paediatric infections, male reproductive health, and the use of natural medicines to support sexual function. He currently practices at Goulds Natural Medicine, the historic and iconic Hobart apothecary and clinic.
