i am running the New York Marathon for the Hearts that Race. Its a charity that supports the Children's Heart Foundation. Their mission is to enhance survival rates, longevity, and quality of life for children with congenital heart diseases (CHD).The Snohomish Running Company is going to donate $25 per person (up to 12 people) to my charity for whoever is willing to sign up to help clean the Snohomish River Road for a minimum of 2 hrs on Sunday, September 29th ONLY (We removed Saturday since no one signed up). The more the merrier! It would be amazing to see as many people as we can out there that weekend!
Sunday we have have people out along the Snohomish River Road cleaning from 8am to noon. We have two time slots available for each day 8am to 10am and 10am to noon. Unless you'd like to be there for all 4 hrs.
The Snohomish Running Company adopts this road, and the idea is to get out there and clean it up as much as we can prior to the Snohomish River Run. This is a great opportunity to help clean up part of Snohomish as well as being a part of a big donation to the Children's Heart Foundation.
