Tarot is a centuries-old, evolving tool for self-knowledge, available to anyone willing to learn. This fundamentals class will address:
frequently-asked questions
the suits, numbers and structure of the deck
care & feeding of your tarot deck
ethical considerations &
useful card lay-outs for informative readings
Bring a notebook, writing utensils and a 78-card tarot deck with accompanying book if you have one. Loaners will be available in the class and decks will also be for sale.
Tarot II _ 3pm-4:30pm
This class assumes that you know the basics of reading with the traditional deck. We will review the structure of the deck, some ethics, and a quick history of the evolution of tarot over the centuries. The emphasis in this session is on actually reading cards for yourself and others.

ABOUT OUR TEACHER
Madame Onça is a tarot artist, author & reader based out of Richmond, VA. She is also the creator of the Yuletide Monsters Oracle Deck & a vast body of artwork informed by myth, magic & iconography. A career entertainer, Onça sings, MCs, & has produced dozens of weekend-long festivals for variety & folkloric arts in NC & VA. She has taught tarot, stagecraft & dance all over the US and beyond.
