Whether you’re a curious beginner or seasoned reader, Tarot Club is a safe space to meet with fellow enthusiasts to share knowledge and connect with a like-minded community. This year we're featuring a monthly co-host to guest faciliate each session, and this month we'll be joined by astrologer, tarot reader and queer witch - Uma Ruby!
Sessions usually run a little something like this:
- Acknowledgement of Country
- Circle opening & introductions
- Deep dive into the card for the month
- Solo reading
- Exercise relating to the card/theme
- Paired readings
- Circle sharing and closing
- Snacks and chats
Bring
- The Tarot deck you're currently working with
- Journal/Pen/Paper
Host
Leah - Tarot club is facilitated by Leah, founder of Radical Self Tarot. After noting a serious lack of local, cool, inclusive tarot groups, Leah has set out to create the community she's been searching for herself. Currently a student of Lindsay Macks Tarot for the Wild Soul, Leah is keen to continue learning about the myriad of ways Tarot can support us in our daily lives. She is also studying her Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy with aspirations to become a qualified therapist and tarot reader.
Co-Host for October
Introducing our October co-Host - Uma Ruby! Uma Ruby is a queer witch, tarot reader and astrologer who lives and practices on the unceded lands of the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation. Uma offers intuitive and grounded readings that center empowerment, self-inquiry and connection to personal and collective magic. Their work is a blend of traditional and contemporary approaches to astrology and tarot, creating spacious and affirming experiences. They also offer moon cycle horoscopes on their instagram and youtube which I highly recommend! With a focus on care, clarity and patterns, Uma’s practice invites reflection, healing and ultimately transformation. We can't wait to have Uma share their cosmic wisdom at Tarot Club this month!
Space
Shellspace exists as creative haven that plays host to community events, founded and spearheaded by artist Hilary Green. Their values centre around community, process, warmth, nature and play.
Land
Tarot Club meets on stolen land. We choose to Pay the Rent with 10% of our ticket sales to honour that sovereignty of First Nations people was never ceded.
Refunds
Due to the limited number of spaces and the way in which every Tarot Club sells out, we are only able to offer refunds up to 7 days before the event. If you can no longer attend, please let us more than a week prior to be eligible for a refund. If you miss this window, let us know anyway so we can gift your spot to the next person on our waitlist.
