About this Event

https://meditationinboston.org/events/tara-puja-and-community-picnic/

On the 8th day of every month, Kadampa Centers around the world engage in a public practice of Green Tara known as Liberation From Sorrow. These uplifting prayers, chanted in English, empower us to see our potential to become someone with more wisdom and compassion and to connect with Buddha Tara, the female embodiment of all Buddha’s wisdom.

After a morning Tara practice we will coordinate some carpooling out to Walden Pond for a community potluck picnic and hike. Everyone is welcome, including kids and dogs!

Schedule:

9:30-10:30am  Liberation from Sorrow @ KMC Boston

10:30am Carpool out to Walden Pond

Around 2:00pm Carpool back to KMC Boston

You may participate in the full day or parts of the day as you choose.

The event is free. But please register in advance so we can coordinate a variety of potluck items for us to all share.  Scroll down to register.

Everyone is welcome!

More information about Tara Puja: Liberation from Sorrow can be found here.
