Dust off your sense of adventure and prepare to experience the thrilling and challenging life of a Mountain Man! Join the Wyoming State Museum for a night of immersive history, beer from Blue Raven Brewery, wine from The Blue Stem Wine House, comfort foods from Mad Flavors Food Truck, and interactive learning opportunities that will have you feeling like the most rugged fur trapper in the West. Your evening of adventure will begin by discovering the special skill your Mountain Man will bring to the Rockies. Are you super strong, extraordinarily smart, or maybe you’re just especially friendly? Whatever your skill set, it will help determine your survival as you attempt to make it through a year in the life of a mountain man. Test your grit at interactive stations where you’ll learn how Mountain Men lived off the land, trapped animals for the fur trade, and even kept themselves busy during the long, cold winter.
• Chat with experts from the American Mountain Men Association, Ft Laramie National Historic Site, Fort Bridger State Historic Site, and the Red Cross.
