About this Event
Creativity is a characteristic that comes very easily to the young, and sadly it is one that seems to be extinguished by teachers and circumstances as one moves through life. This workshop is intended to counteract this by jumpstarting creativity through an understanding of personal and artistic archetypes.
Judith Kornett and Coby Lyons will facilitate an understanding of archetypes, their meanings and uses as personal and artistic tools to provide the student with new approaches for tapping into their own creative selves. In addition, students will be given the tools to create an ongoing artistic and personal journal.
Upon enrolling participants will be provided with a short list of materials needed for the workshop.
Judith Kornett is a Maryland artist who has exhibited and taught nationally for the last 50 years. She has work displayed in many private art and museum collections, and is represented by the NOMA Gallery in Frederick Maryland. Kornett relies heavily on her personal archetypes in her work, much of which can be seen in April at her solo exhibition titled "ITERATIONS: ARCHETYPES AND CONTINUUM”
at the NOMA Gallery. Her work may also be seen on her website .
