For this workshop you will learn the art of tapestry weaving, creating your very own tapestry by hand in an easy to use wood frame. Your local weaver is Abby Redus, who is passionate about her weaving and a detail-oriented textile designer. There will be an array of thread colors to mix into your creation and with guidance from Abby you will get you to design your own tapestry pattern. By the end, Abby will show you how to take your completed work out of the frame for you to take home with you!We will be hosting this experience at the Lucky Tree coffee shop: a local, small business run by twin sisters Ashley and Amanda. They are champions of the local art scene, adorning their already beautiful space with work from more than 50 local artists. Not to mention, they bake delicious and healthy sweet treats that you will get to try.
*Ticket includes a tapestry to take home and a drink of your choosing from Lucky Tree to enjoy during the workshop.
