Welcome back to DJ Greg Constantino, for our monthly 1st Friday Alternative tango dance at OmCulture. The lovely and talented Michelle Badion will be our ice-breaker alt class instructor and host for the evening! She'll be teaching some fun moves to incorporate into your tango! The class is designed to get everyone familiar with each other and to walk away with a cool new move or concept. Michelle Badion teaches Tuesday evenings in Greenwood. If you're newer to tango I highly recommend their beginner and intermediate classes.After some experimentation and feedback from attendees, we have decided to do this dance with no cortinas. This is to make sure that folks who are newer to tango both have a chance to get up and dance early on and also not feel pressured to dance full tandas (three or four song sets).
Flow of the evening:
7:45 Doors Open
8:00 Tango lesson with Michelle Badion
8:30 Dance begins
11:30 Dance ends at the discretion of the DJ. We often go till midnight.
Cost: $20 cash or venmo at door
Includes: Lesson, 3 hours dance, snacks, open wine bar
