Join us for dance workshops and practica with Jesica followed by a milonga featuring live tango orchestra music by DJ Gosia Konwerska and Bandoneon Massacre and guests.
Schedule as follows:
Saturday
2:30 pm: Workshop 1
Essential Tango Technique: Foundations for Leaders & Followers
In this class, we’ll refine core elements such as foot positioning, balance, posture, axis, turns, elegance, connection, movement, and dissociation. We’ll also work on pivot and over‑pivot technique, with special attention to maintaining hip control to prevent dropping. All of this will guide us toward deeper body awareness and richer artistic expression.
4 pm: Workshop 2
Turns, Rebounds & Flow: Navigating the Dance Floor
In this class, we’ll build from simple turning mechanics into more complex combinations designed to help you navigate the dance floor with confidence. We’ll explore rebounds, controlled stops, planeos, and tasteful adornos, integrating each element progressively. Along the way, we’ll refine the embrace, connection, and frame—key tools that allow us to move together with clarity and ease. A perfect class for developing fluidity, musicality, and spatial awareness.
7:30 pm: Intro to Tango Dance (FREE)
8:30 pm-12:30 am: Milonga featuring live orchestra music and DJ Gosia Konwerska
Sunday
10 am-12 pm: Female Lead Practica
Guided Practica: Technique & Connection
This guided practica is an immersive experience designed to refine technique, enhance communication, and deepen body awareness.
Cost per Saturday workshop: $30 (at the door)/$25 (preregistration)/$15 (student)
Milonga: $25 (at the door)/$20 (preregistration)/$10 (student, non-dancer)
Cost for practica: ($10 or FREE with any workshop or milonga fee)
Bundle: $70 for 2 workshops, practica, and milonga
