Vice o Angela Melendez:
Tanečnice tanga a performerka s tancem začínala od útlého věku studiem klasického baletu, až se dostala na profesionální úroveň a stala se členkou Komorního baletu Niny Novak a baletního souboru divadla Teresy Carreño. Byla také součástí skupiny současného tance Amaká a divadelního souboru TeArtes v Caracasu.
V roce 2007 začala v Caracasu studovat tango a v témže roce se připojila k souboru Nuevos Aires Tango. V roce 2008 podnikla svou první cestu do Buenos Aires, aby si doplnila své taneční studium tanga, a činí tak každoročně.
V roce 2014 se přestěhovala do argentinského Buenos Aires, aby zde rozvíjela a zdokonalovala svou cestu v tanci tango, a od roku 2016 začíná v tomto městě pořádat výstavy a vést kurzy. Její trénink probíhal zejména u učitelky Eliny Roldán a Stelly Báez a Ernesta Balmacedy, studovala také u významných učitelů, jako jsou Fernando Galera, Corina Herrera, Pancho Martínez Pey, Eduardo Pareja.
Jako představitelka a učitelka argentinského tanga vystoupila v několika městech po celém světě, například v São Paulu, Kuala Lumpuru, Berlíně, Amsterdamu, Vídni, Mnichově, Barceloně.
V současné době vede pravidelné lekce ve škole tanga La Maleva a v milonga klubu La Cachivachería. A v El Zorzal cultural od roku 2022 provádí studijní prostor pro střídání rolí s výukou a praxí. Je jednou z členek revoluční skupiny Anguila Tango Trío, která společně s umělci Guillermem Cerneazem a Juampy Ramírezem vystupuje s tancem a humornými představeními, v nichž kombinuje herectví, klauniádu, tanec a především tango.
Angela se věnuje výuce a předvádění tance tango, které obohacuje svými znalostmi a studiem dalších disciplín. Má také znalosti a zvládá obě role jak při vystupování, tak při výuce.

In April, Angela Melendez - a versatile dancer, performer and experienced teacher of tango, both female and role changing techniques - will visit Prague for the first time. On the last weekend in April there will be 4 workshops with her. More about Angela Melendez
Tango dancer and physical performer. She began her life in dance from a very early age with classical ballet studies until reaching a professional level, becoming part of the Nina Novak Chamber Ballet and the Teresa Carreño Theater Ballet Company. She was also part of the Amaká Contemporary Dance Group and the TeArtes theater company in Caracas.
She began her tango studies in 2007 in the city of Caracas and in that same year she joined the Nuevos Aires Tango company. In 2008 she made her first trip to Buenos Aires to complement her tango dance studies and she does so every year.
In 2014 she moved to Buenos Aires Argentina to develop and perfect her path in Tango Dance and since 2016 she begins to hold exhibitions and teach classes in this city. Her training was especially with the teacher Elina Roldán and Stella Báez and Ernesto Balmaceda, she also studied with important teachers such as Fernando Galera, Corina Herrera, Pancho Martínez Pey, Eduardo Pareja.
As a representative and teacher of Argentine tango she was in several cities around the world, including São Paulo, Kuala Lumpur, Berlin, Amsterdam, Vienna, Munich, Barcelona.
Currently she gives regular classes at La Maleva tango school and at La Cachivachería milonga. And in El Zorzal cultural, since 2022, it has been carrying out a study space for changing roles with class and practice. She is one of the members of the revolutionary group Anguila Tango Trío that performs tango and humor shows, combining acting, clowning, dance and especially tango, together with the artists Guillermo Cerneaz and Juampy Ramírez.
Angela is dedicated to teaching and performing tango dance, which is enriched by her knowledge and study of other disciplines. She also has knowledge and mastery of both roles in both performance and teaching.
