Dear Tango friends,We’re sorry to share that we’ve had to make the difficult decision to cancel this event due to lower bookings than expected at this stage. In all our years of organising tango weekends since 2009, this is something that’s happened very rarely - so it’s definitely not a decision we take lightly.
Over the past couple of years, we’ve noticed that more people are waiting until much closer to an event to book. It’s completely understandable - life is busy, and times are uncertain - but it does make it quite tricky on the organisational side. Venues usually need confirmed numbers several weeks in advance, and we have to commit to those with contracts that often involve financial penalties if the minimum numbers aren’t reached.
Usually, our cut‑off with hotels is about 4–6 weeks before the event, and that’s when we have to decide whether to go ahead or pull back. Sometimes we’ve taken the gamble, and the event has filled up beautifully later on but this time, the risk was simply too high to justify continuing, even though there was still time for more bookings to come in.
To those who’ve already paid deposits - thank you for your trust. You can choose either a full refund or to put it towards another of our future events.
Thank you all for your understanding. We love creating these tango weekends and truly appreciate everyone who supports them. If you can, please do try to book a little earlier next time - it really helps us keep bringing these special tango events to life!
