TANGO STUDY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE FOLLOWER’S ROLE (For both roles!)A 2-day immersion into the structure and baseline of Tango. We will discover which movement needs to be led and what needs not be led, what followers should know and what leaders should expect.

The themes for each day is as follows:
Saturday, Nov 2nd LINEAR VS CIRCULAR TURNS: We will work on the following aspects of the Turn, as the basis for understanding the dance: embrace, structure & code of walking, leading & following, pivots, free leg, trajectories, rhythm, and changes of turn direction.
Sunday, Nov 3rd PENDULUM OF THE HIPS: ITS LOGIC IN BOLEOS We will dive deep into the role of the torsional pendulum motion of the hips throughout the Tango structure and technique, and its most iconic figure - the Boleos.

The format for each day is as follows:
1:00 - 2:00 PM Prepare for the topic of the day with deep dive on the technique
2:30-5:00 PM Explore the topic in two 1-hour sessions with a break, switching partners will be encouraged
You can sign up by yourself but to help us ensure role balance please encourage a friend of the opposite role to sign up!
