This is where the actual learning happens. Class gives you information, social dancing is for fun, but practice is where you get uncomfortable, try things, ask questions, and actually improve.👉 What happens:
-> Practice what you learned (or didn't quite get)
-> Ask for feedback without feeling awkward about it
-> Watch others and steal their moves
-> Figure out what you need to work on
-> Chat between dances
-> Exist in a low-pressure space where messing up is the point
👉 For beginners: You're encouraged to stay. Watch. Try things. Talk to people who've been dancing longer. This is how you get better faster - not by grinding alone at home or watching short videos, but by being around other dancers and asking "wait how did you do that?"
If you came to the beginner class before this, you're already in for free. No extra charge.
👉 Timing note: The beginner class (6:30-8:30pm) includes a 30-minute practice session at the end that overlaps with this. Everyone else: show up from 8pm onward. We're building in this overlap so people can arrive casually, warm up together, and mix levels before the open level class/full practice session kicks off at 8:30pm.
👉 Pricing:
-> Beginners from the 6:30pm class: stay for free.
-> £4 if you book online at least 1 day in advance (so not same-day)
-> £5 at the door or same-day booking
-> Students: £2 advance / £3 door
👉 About booking & cancellations: We accept cash at the door but booking online helps us plan. If you need to cancel, we'll give you credit for another class rather than a refund - we all have day jobs and chasing refunds is a mess. Be kind, consider the hassle cancellations create for us 😛
P.S. This isn't a milonga. This is deliberate practice with other humans who also want to improve. Bring questions. Bring curiosity. Bring your weird technique problems.
