Duo Luz de Neón - Solos, Duets & more!
Svetlana has been at the piano since age five, revels in improvisation and playing by ear, and in recent years has devoted herself to tango piano while continuing to dance. She studies with Pablo Estigarribia and has deepened her craft at the Tango Music Institute and Tanguero Workshop.
Alexander grew up on 1930s–40s records, studied voice, piano, and clarinet in Leningrad, and later sang with the Caltech Glee Club while earning a Physics degree. Trained by Frieda Bernstein and Eugene Brancoveanu, he discovered Argentine tango, added bandoneon and tango singing (Tango Music Institute; Stowe Tango Music Festival), and now leads multiple Bay Area tango groups.
Mystery Guest Artist—a special and rare appearance to light up the concert hour.
