Tango Alpha Tango
Tango Alpha Tango, a longstanding staple of Portland’s music scene, has evolved into a polished and dynamic rock and roll force. Renowned throughout the Pacific Northwest for their electrifying live performances, the band masterfully blends inspired, inventive songwriting with bursts of improvisation, showmanship, and unbridled energy. Their sound touches on a wide range of influences—think Led Zeppelin's power, Tom Petty's heart, Radiohead's innovation, and the poetic soul of Bob Dylan—while nodding to icons like Wilco, Queens of the Stone Age, Andy Shauf, and Pink Floyd. Together, these elements fuse into something uniquely and unmistakably Tango Alpha Tango.
Salo Panto
Since 2015, Salo Panto has been exploring and bending every corner of the rock genre. Rooted in psychedelia with a stage presence that will blow your hair back, commonly being described as “a sight to behold”. Their technical skill and original hooks play homage to the legends of rock while transforming the genre into something new entirely. These chameleons can be found anywhere from the alternative radio waves to a doom show lineup, specially curating their sound for every performance, creating an atmosphere that is infectious and inclusive, all for the love of music.
Salo Panto has frequented many premier venues in Portland such as Mississippi Studios, Rontoms, Doug Fir and Dante’s. In 2023 they added notable notches to their belt by performing four dates at the Rose Festival, Lose Yr Mind Fest and releasing their debut full-length album, Parallel Narratives on Literal Gold Records. Capping off the year the group released the No Learner EP, showcasing heavier numbers recorded with Cam Spies during the Parallel Narratives sessions. Returning from a blistering west coast tour the band maintains momentum and returns to Portland stages.
Dakota Theim
A songwriter with a gift for whimsical melodies, breezy productions, and introspective lyricism, has been a mainstay on the Portland indie underground for years. His sound is largely inspired by the golden age of FM radio, laden with sunny harmonies and blissed out guitars. With his latest releases, he is exploring new sonic territory while musing on relationships, identity, and aging, resulting in some of the most endearing songs of his career. He writes and produces all of his own material from his Portland home studio, often times being joined by live band members Ben Bilotti, Alex Werner, Jack Stringer, and Joseph Freeman to round out his recordings. Together, the band has hosted several sold-out shows in their hometown, and toured extensively across the Pacific Northwest. His songs are meticulously composed, full of left turns and moments of unexpected beauty. With a steady stream of new content expected for this year and beyond, Dakota finds himself on the verge of breaking out of his local scene and reaching a national audience.
